About the pool
Location: Daresbury De Vere Hotel, Daresbury,
Warrington.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks use a roped off area of
the pool, the remainder of the pool is open to leisure club
members.
Changing rooms: There are separate changing rooms
for males and females, each with direct access to the pool.
Poolside Assistant: There is no Puddle Ducks
poolside assistant, but the reception staff take the register and
respond to the emergency alarm.
Class size: Six children with one teacher in the
water.
Pool Temp: 29-30oC
Pool Dimensions: 2.5m x 12m
Depth: 1.2m throughout
Parking: Use the hotel leisure centre car
park.
About the teachers
Susan
Susan was already a qualified swimming teacher and a Tumble Tots teacher too, so joining Puddle Ducks was a natural next step for her. Susan tells us the day passes too quickly when she is in the water teaching, and she goes home "buzzing". She has a real enthusiasm for teaching and fantastic technical knowledge which she shares readily.
